I was talking with my wife in bed and we were discussing my evolution in listening to jazz and her evolution in reading fantasy fiction. As usual I had on some jazz and she was reading before we both passed out. This exchange was great because not only did we each encounter each other’s hobbies, for lack of a better term, but we also discovered something about ourselves and our favorite pastimes. Yes, pastimes would be the word I’m searching for.
When we were open enough we were able to really listen to each other and ourselves.
