To add to my practice I’ll be attempting these word of the day challenges. It’s to keep me in the mindset of writing and being creative. Will I get to it each day, perhaps not, will I attempt, to the best of my ability.
I know I’ve used this word in the past when I have introduced people at poetry readings or other presentations. I thought I knew what the word meant, and after reading the challenge today I have a better grasp of the word. You would think that with all the stuff I write I’d have a better grasp on my vocabulary, but I’m discovering with my children that they do the same thing in using words they think they understand but they don’t truly grasp the meaning.
How many words do we do that with, do we admit it to ourselves or our close circle of confidants? Well I’m admitting it to you today.
