The bravery of taking risks with your art

Hello friend, this is Timothy Kimo Brien head instigator of Create Art Podcast where we help you tame your inner critic and create more than you consume. I do this through commentary, conversations, projects, and interviews, and for 2021 I am doing webstreams for those who would like to watch versus just listen. In this episode, I talk about being brave in your art.

Are you stuck in a rut with your practice? Are you scared to make mistakes? Does the feeling of failure or that no one understands your work stop you from making the art you know in your heart that you need to make? Then this episode is for you! Being brave in our art opens us up to new experiences and to grow as an artist. I will be talking about mistakes I have made in the past that were successful and not so successful but provided great lessons.

How can you be brave with your art? I talk about three ideas that have helped me in my practice. First, you need to connect with your audience, next giving yourself permission to make happy accidents, and lastly, you need to define your artistic aesthetic. I also comment on two articles I researched while creating this episode. So if you are struggling with bravery in your art, this episode is made for you because I have struggled with it in my work.
