KDOI Rebroadcast of Kenneth Reed Interview

Hello friend, this is Timothy Kimo Brien your head instigator at Create Art Podcast where I bring my 20 years in art and education to help you tame your inner critic and create more than you consume. In 2021 I am rebroadcasting my former podcast KDOI Podcast here so you can catch up on what we have been doing for the past 4 years. KDOI Podcast was my first serious attempt at podcasting after spending many years just creating content without regard to the final product. KDOI started in 2016 and had 3 seasons until I closed it down in 2019. I wanted to make sure that these gems didn’t get relegated to my external hard drives, so here you go, there will be interviews, commentary, and projects that you can do for yourself. Enjoy these rebroadcasts and Create More Than You Consume.

Film Making as Art

Today’s guest is my former co-worker and collaborator Kenneth Reed. He originally joined me on Kimo’s Den of Iniquity when it was a sketched show during the second reboot period. We also were collaborators with Salsation’s Word Up Poetry Slam. During this conversation on Film as Art, we discuss

  • Beginnings of Ken’s love of comedy
  • Word Up Poetry Slam
  • Screen writing program at Columbia College
  • First attempts at film
  • Advice for new film makers and artists
  • Mentorship
  • Results of his Satanic Seven Questionnaire
