Commentary Legacy

How will I be known after I am gone?

When you are gone, who will notice the work you have done, what will be left and how will we be able to access it? Think about your legacy now before someone else defines your legacy after you pass on. My wife gave me a box of cards for the holidays in 2022. I was puzzled because they were creativity cards and I thought, what the heck is this, I don’t need them. Well, folks, I was wrong and I will attempt to do a card a week and record an episode about how I am utilizing the card I draw every week if you decide to pick up a deck and do these let me know.

Legacy Definitions

Legacy: something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past

Legacy Challenge

  • Many artists, poets, and songwriters have hoped their art could make their love (and their lovers) immortal. Is there anyone you’d hope to make immortal through your creative work?
  • What do you dream of handing down to those who will come after you? How can you make it so?
  • Look around. Can you identify artifacts that were made by the hands of a person whose life has ended? Do you sense the person lives on through the creation?
